CALIFORNIA SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS PROPOSITION 8
On Tuesday, May, 26, 2009, in a 6-1 decision, the California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8 and the ban on Same-Sex Marriage but allowed nearly 18,000 unions performed before the ban to remain valid.
